Bristol Rugby Players Team Song, Where be that Blackbird to? I know there is a video somewhere on YouTube (think it was at the Lloyds amphitheatre after the Cotts double bus tour) of the players on the stage singing Drink Up Thee Cider. Sure someone will post it.

Red Bill Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 I remember a lovely little book, "The Krek Waiters Peak Brissle". Anyone know if it is still available?

RedM Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 At Glastonbury a couple of years ago we got talking to a couple of obviously northern lads. We got chatting about football and one of them asked 'what's that song you sing about a blackbird'?' he had heard it being sung whist he was in the away end and couldn't make it out. They wanted to learn the song! So be proud of me people, I had a Blackburn fan and a Preston fan belting out 'I sees Ee and Ee sees I' at 2.30am from the top of the hill overlooking the festival!

ExiledAjax Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Sang it walking down the strip in Marbella once. Got stopped by a couple of guys from Bridgwater. After they established that we weren't from WSM we all carried on singing it together. Cracking little tune.

Yes, years ago there was an hilarious TV show called Krek Bristle. I seem to remember it featured Andrew Sachs who played Manuel in Fawlty Towers. My favourite was "wine chew packet tin" translated as Why don't you pack it in"

Of course yeah, I just thought Bris were a little tinpot is all? I'd have assumed there'd be mostly English players because they're not that large a team, they're only second division right now arent they? Maybe it's different for rugby.
