Southstandoriginal Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Yes that does seem a risky strategy. Clough is talking about giving his players a "run out" but the fixture is a cup match not a friendly, so I doubt if the opposition will be taking it quite so casually.

cheshire_red Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 No idea about the football team but the rugby side were a handful
redcherryberry Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Burton were abroad all last week working on defensive drills after two recent 4-0 league defeats. Expect another Bolton Friday night, will come to frustrate play for a point so we will have to be patient......

Fancy he may be able to unlock the door. Plus COD may need a rest after the internationals for ROI.
Admin Phantom Posted October 9, 2017 Admin Posted October 9, 2017 He's only giving his "squad" players game time - seems a sensible thing to do

redcherryberry Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 You'd think so but his body may well say the opposite. NO doubt the management/fitness team will have a good look at him and decide from there......

Davefevs Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Remember Peter Beadle (at Rovers) doing his hammer against us (Brislington) in a friemdly match midweek to celebrate the switch on of our new floodlights. Cold, foggy night, tweaked it...probably through a half-hearted warm up.
