Red34 Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 Couldn't see another thread about this: http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/bristol-post-sports-awards-winners-647939 Shocked they gave DC the manager of the year - guessing they're only counting last season as LJ is 10x the manager he is... Lockyer got an award, who's been shocking for the Gas this season... Bristol Manor Farm did well, good on them At least Reid won what was basically the best overall sportsperson Weirdly Reid's award has professional in the title, Lockyer's doesn't, suggesting the EP agrees that the Gas don't play professional football... Oh and it was held at Ashton Gate so DC got salt rubbed into the wound after signing that 5 year contract expecting the UWE... Anyway, congratulations Bobby Reid!

They probably think D.C. is manager at Ashton Gate . If it's a Post award it probably wasn't Bobby who won it . I can never trust anything they write .
Admin Phantom Posted October 19, 2017 Admin Posted October 19, 2017 Noticed last night that Reid got the top award for 2017 Always find it a bit odd how they can announce this after 10 months of a year, where he's only really been really outstanding for about 2 months of that 10

Rocky Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 Most pointless awards ceremony ever? Perhaps they should invest in their product rather than spend money on this nonsense.

Think Phantom missed the end bit due to the sheer amount of adverts on that site. End of list is: Professional sports personality of the year: Bobby Reid (Bristol City) Rugby player of the year: Henry Bird (Old Reds RFC) Young sports personality of the year: Shanel Drewe (motor racing)
PHILINFRANCE Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 Congratulations to Bobby Reid, but can the Bristol Post not acknowledge the person sharing the photo with him. Is she Mrs Reid, or perhaps Bobby's girlfriend? Heaven forbid she might be a local sports star in her own right.
