When the strikers have an off day good job we had our midfield and defence chipping in with the goals Quote Link to comment
marcofisher
At least that bottle of lube that Tomlin bought in anticipation for going into prison didn't go to waste, sure Cardiff will greatly appreciate it after that. Quote Link to comment
cityexile
Now be honest, when Tomlin went up to hit the free kick late on, I could not have been the only one thinking...well, you know. 2 Quote Link to comment
WessexPest
Other than the Gash a win doesn't come more satisfying than against that lot. Great stuff! Fatty's free-kick clearing the bar got a gert big cheer. We'm in the groove, buys! Enjoy your Saturday one and all! Quote Link to comment

Coppello
Fantastic result and a proper, cagey derby. Loved the chat of 'you're just a fat Bobby Reid' aimed at Tomlin. What a Saturday! 2 Quote Link to comment
samo II
Excellent result against a top six side, with the add bonus of being against Cardiff. Compare it to last season’s equivalent match where the came from behind twice to beat us - we’re grown up a fair bit since then. 7 points ahead of 7th now! COYR! Quote Link to comment

I might be the only one also noticing we are 20 points above the drop zone as well.. 1 Quote Link to comment

Esmond Million's Bung
Today was never going to be a classic but how great was it to see City dig in and not roll over to Warnock’s intimidating tactics, we deserved that win all day long, a great way to into an international break. We look a strong team not easily intimidated and happy to mix it. Fielding 6 little to do, did nothing wrong, let down by Magnússon with their goal. Flint 8 great goal, powerful performance. Baker 7 Hope he is fit. Magnússon 4 not good enough, piss weak for their goal. COD 9 MOM get’s better every game and developing an end product. Bryan 7 so consistent and so strong. Brownhill 8 as good as he is his decision making in dangerous defensive positions and promising attacking positions needs to improve, the impetuosity of youth perhaps. Pack 6 did ok, rightly subbed his impetuosity could have led to 2nd yellow at any time. Smith 6 not at his best but never hides or shirks a tackle. Reid 7 looked sharp today. Djuric 4 easy to to ease off of the ball, spent a lot time on his arse and took up some bewildering positions when were attacking. But there is something there I am sure. Taylor 7 looked good for the time he was on. Woodrow 7 not on long but put himself about. LJ 9 considering the unexpected change over the scandalous Wright decision, tactics and line up were great and substitutions were good, 30 points before Christmas unbelievable Jeff. 1 Quote Link to comment

BobBobSuperBob
That's a massive win in the circumstances - with our limping depleted squad would have taken a point all day long Credit to Nathan Baler - Clearly playing with injury / in pain -obviously not at his best but brave - Well done Nathan COD - take a bow Sorry Hörður - not up to / suited to English Championship 2 Quote Link to comment
BCFC Rich
Cardiff forum before, during match: We're going away to one of the best teams in the league, we can't afford to start a luxury player like Tomlin, especially considering he was gassed after 60 minutes just 4 days ago. There is an electric atmosphere inside Ashton Gate Bristol City playing some nice stuff, most of it coming through No.10 Bobby Reid who is dropping between the lines. Bristol City look far more threatening in the final third of the pitch and deserved their early lead because of that extra cutting edge. Hoilett has been destroying their fullback for a bit, much better by City. Be Blue wrote:Was that worthy of a straight red? BCFC Rich
One of my favorite moments was from one of their corners. One of their players was challenging Bobby for the ball and ended up on the floor. he immediately grabbed his leg to feign injury before clearly remembering they were 2-1 down and making an instant recovery. 2 Quote Link to comment
