Was it Tony's Records ?

Ditto for the vinyl .

I had many collectors items , Sex Pistols ' Credit Card ' sleeve , Police ' Roxanne ' blue , Buzzcocks ' Spiral Scratch '...  all sold to a dealer .

At the time I felt it was right as I no longer played them ( if at all for the collectables )

I miss my collection but I have the memories.

I can happily announce that I still have Sex Pistols "God Save the Queen" single on EMI label. Not in great condition but worth a fair few grand. Kept all my vinyl collection and is now worth a good few bob also.

Went to see Roxy Music at Empire Pool back in 75 which then became one of the shows on the live album "Viva Roxy Music".  Have the album, ticket, badges, posters and programme from the show. Later my Son bought me a DVD which (unknowingly to him) had footage of the same show.  Wonder if its worth a few shillings but not sure ?

Sad bastard I know but have seen Ferry and / or Roxy 29 times since !!

Question for fans who were involved with this. A few years ago used to bump into a lad called Darren , early 2000's he was in his early twenties and was heavily involved with CSF. If memory serves me right he was mentioned on a BBC programme when they followed Cardiff and had taken a bit of a kicking at reading. Does anyone know if he still follows city? Just interested, he would probably be mid 30's now

Good book written by a bloke who used to work at Revolver Records about the goings on there called 'Original Rockers'.

@EnclosureSurge put me onto that book a couple of years ago (I think he recognised the bag in my profile pic): very interesting read, and worth getting.

Spent way too many hours, and way too much cash, in that shop: being at school just over the road at BGS.

You can see by his still holding a pool cue that it wasn't pre-arranged.  Paul comes over says "Will you hold the poster for my book?" and Scott being Scott says "Sure man." Is how I suspect this photo occurred.

Can't believe for one moment Scott knew what this was exactly about. Why would a city employee condone such trash. Behaviour that nearly killed our game celebrated in book form. Give it a rest boys, I lived through it, also saw what happened. Exaggerated tosh.

Me too. Always popped down to Revolver to pick up my eagerly anticipated copy of The Bountyhunter having sneaked out of school.

I'm pretty sure EMI never pressed any copies of GSTQ, the Pistols had longsince left the label by the time they recorded that. Maybe you have Anarchy In The UK on EMI?

What would be incredibly rare is a copy of God Save The Queen on the A&M label. If you have that it'll be worth a fortune I would think, as most of the records were trashed after the Pistols were sacked by A&M.

Anyway lads, I'll give you a tenner for it?

Thought they did and thought it was unless I am getting my record label mixed up. Either way worth a few bob. Had it valued at circa £6k a good few years back so don't really care !!  I'll check when I go home next week.

There seems to be a fair few BGS alumni on this forum.

Big interest in football at BGS, and BCFC in particular, in my day, especially considering it was a Rugby only school at the time.

I was going to away matches regularly at 16/17 with a car load of City fans from the year above.

All (bar one no sadly no longer with us) still regulars at AG 40+ years on, if split around the ground in various stands now.

None of them on OTIB that I know of though.
