I think we've been unfair to Jose criticising him for his "City are lucky" comments. What he really meant was:

"You're lucky to have a keeper who can hold onto the ball after he's collected it: I've got one who keeps dropping it if anyone so much as looks at him"

"You lucky sods only needed to spend £75,000 on a midfielder who works his socks off and gives your manager 110%. I spent £89m and got a guy who spends all his time moaning to the referee"

"You're lucky enough to have a 6'5" goalscoring machine; I've just got to manage with a clapped out Swedish international"

"When I need to bring a big striker off the bench I've only got Lukaku. You're lucky enough to have Arnie Garita"

"You lucky bar stewards have got a left back who can defend AND score goals. My full backs can't do either"

"You're lucky enough to have a manager who really enjoys the game. I don't"
