A good article, though the game was Wednesday not Tuesday.

I always felt Moyes was set up to be a fall guy.

There was the expectation of picking up where Sir Alex left off and if a big name manager didn't do it then there would be trouble.

So employ a smaller name who had done a steady and consistant job in that division. If he doesn't manage things then a "big name" definitely will and their appointment will look a masterstroke and they wont have the expectation of having to continue where one of the greatest managers of all time finished off 

Problem is that this has backfired.

I also believe that had Moyes had the backing that van Gaal and Mourinho had then Moyes would have got them doing well, though perhaps not 'well enough'

That was a rooky oversight which I have now rectified haha.

Anyone following Ferguson was always going to be in a difficult situation. It just amazes me they offer someone a six-year contract and give them ten months!
