Had keyhole surgery on a hernia injury. Should be back in training within a week or so.

Ah fair enough.

As I said, I think we need his ability to get in the face of defenders late in games. Bobby Reid does a fantastic job at hassling and chasing every lost cause. Diedhou clearly flags towards the end of games. If we bring on Taylor we can hopefully press from the front and try to stop teams rising in ascendancy in the latter stages of matches.

A tad concerning that Diony didn't come on instead of Woodrow, he's certainly more mobile and won't learn the English game sat on his arse! It's not like he isn't a strong bloke either so he could have held the ball up. I'm baffled TBH. :dunno:

At the same time Diony was ill before the Sunderland game and was off the pace when he came on. Perhaps he was being given a little extra rest before the Fulham game.

Not a chance he was still unwell this weekend - if he was struggling they would have had him on a drip to get him back to feeling better

Not saying he was still unwell, but given we were ahead at the time of the sub (I believe), why not give him the extra rest when trying to see the game out.

Out of the two Woodrow would have known the trigger points we use for our press better than Diony, courtesy of the extra 6 months or so doing it in training.

He’s such a waste of money. It’s a bit of a concern that we have Diony but Woodrow is preferred over him... we wasted the January window if Diony doesn’t step up. We needed a striker and RB that we’re ready to step in. We didn’t sign a RB and the striker we’ve signed looks as though he won’t ever start a bloody game...

Work in the morning but im getting 30 cans of thatchers in and drowning my sorrows. This is exactly why football should be on a Saturday, you get a day to recover.

Yes was only thinking we could have signed grigg or Danny Graham  Nathan Byrne right back would have made more impact and no im not a wigan fan

Isn't Danny Graham single handedly bankrupting Blackburn with his wages? Not like they need any help mind..

Nice critique of a fellow human being.... That's sure to help a person who is currently struggling to up his game.  Things have not gone his or our way so far, (remember LJ's bad patch, when most would have happily thrown him to the dogs as totally useless? Thank God he had a thick skin and an immense mental strength which carried him through when lesser mortals would have shrunk and crumbled) ... Most people don't have that level of strength and how many of us would manage to overcome a rough patch and be able to turn things around when people who are supposed to be supporting us instead dismiss us as being .. 'shit' .

That's gonna help no end for sure.

Better to trust the judgement of our management and coaches, if there was 'nothing there' if they couldn't see a level of competence in a player do you think that person would be anywhere near the team? Until its over and the fat lady has sung, wouldn't it be best to reserve judgement? ....

Comments like 'he really is shit' helps no one on any level, infact they could easily kill off any hope of things improving.... So far not so good, nothing wrong with expressing disappointment, which is natural, justified and only to be expected, but ffs don't crush the life out of someone when theres still a chance things could turn around.

Whats the point in making such confidence draining judgements and comments? Why undermine someone when the pro's at the club still see fit to put that person in a red shirt...?

Now is not the time, infact while anyone is trying at anything in life it's really not great to dismiss them as 'shit' is it?, it's never time to call that, reserve those words for the real dregs of humanity that we see and read about everyday in the real world.

And remain ever hopeful that everyone in a red shirt will come good, think and say what you want in private but harmful shit comments in public don't help at all, ... Shit support!

I understand where you are coming from, but if Woodrow is that much of a snowflake he is in the wrong game !

So football being a 'confidence game' must be full of 'snowflakes' then!

If you hear people criticising your effort, you fight back,  if the criticism continues you try even harder, when things don't go well you're frustrated by your own efforts, a kind word can give you a badly needed boost, but when it feels like everyone is on your back and calling you a useless shit, confidence goes, and anyone would be less than human not to be affected by that kind of ''support' ..nothing snow flake about it.. just human nature - who wouldn't be negatively affected by that?

One things for sure, when performances and then fans knock a players confidence, it certainly doesn't make a managers/coaches job any easier trying to get the best out of that player the next time he pulls on the shirt.

Noticed him once after he came on, and that was when Phillips missed a free header from 6 yards out after Woodrow lost him.

I’ve never really known what sort of player Woodrow is or what he brings to the side. He reminds me a lot of David Clarkson, he doesn’t seem too strong, doesn’t win much in the air & he’s certainly not quick.

Don’t think he’s up to the level.

How  many times do you want to suffer watching woodrow to form an opinion even Fulham fans were laughing an glad that we took him  off thier hands we have spent millions on players out on loan and on the Bench we are Bristol city not Wolves or villa with parachute payments and lets dont even go there with the wage bill when we sign players they need to be quality not quantity and bench warmers
