just got back from a great day out at newport, man of the match steven gillespie was superb, great skill, quick, not afraid to shoot, scored 2 well taken goals.

bradley orr had a sound game, passing the ball in every blade of grass on the pitch,in my view the next tinman.

paul heffernan scored with a 6 yard unchallenged header,a ball chaser, but no air winner(no taller than lita, should score plenty of goals.

clayton fortune was the star of the defence with some good challenges and skillful play.

marc goodfellow had the tired newport defence run ragged in 2nd half,my candidate for left wing.

my starting 11 for torquay would be

phillps

fortune coles hill

murray doherty orr gooofellow bell

gillespie heffernan/miller if need a goal

subs roberts butler miller woodman tinnion
