Watching MOTD2, a cause for optimism

While I know it's hard to compare, and we were at peak, optimum levels (even with our injury crisis notwithstanding), watching Man City-Chelsea highlights reminded me just how brave we were v them. Chelsea barely laid a glove on Man City today...

This gives me great hope for how we can raise it in Cup tie situations, should we make top 6. Zinchenko at left back for example, very weak link, as inexperienced, not first position, yet Chelsea did little to trouble him today.

We somehow need to try to bottle some of that performance by us, over both legs, and make it the gold standard moving forward.

Arsenal especially. Don't think in their current state they could have coped with our pressing game.

Definitely not.

Regardless, if my aunt had a cock an all that.

Obviously all hypothetical but us vs Man City would have been a much better final for the neutral if we played like we did in the semis. Plus a full strength Diedhou wouldn't have hurt our chances at all!
