Tynan was definitely playing, but I think Aldridge was injured.

I remember Tynan hitting the crossbar and there were several off the line.

Newport were very unlucky to lose.

As it is being played behind closed doors I presume it can kick off whenever they like, allowing LJ and the squad to then watch the England game if we get through today’s match?

Pretty much. If they had gone ahead they probably would have played a few academy kids, the kit man and whoever else isn’t English and fancied a game. Would have been watched by a few Stewards, bored bar staff and the cleaner too.

Got to feel a bit sorry for Newport missing out on a bit of revenue, as a glorious Summers day and a short hop on the train might have attracted a few City fans.
