Yeah

You would think LJ would want his No1 over at the training camp.

Hope this don’t all go tits up when we kick off the season

........ lets hope not ............... if we don't go up this year the Europa League claim will seem like TOTAL bullshit.

Completely forgot about that challenge. You knew that had Flint been on the pitch he’d have been straight over having a go at the striker that did it. Always looked out for FF when he played.

Nobody reacted bar Smith who made the striker who was walking off go back to Frank and apologise.

Tim Krul is another who has been linked but his wages are likely to be hard to accommodate in the current Bristol City set-up.

Considering he was linked as a potential backup for Barcelona, it'd be a pretty ******* big fall from grace to go from occasional games at the Nou Camp to 50+ games at Ashton Gate.

Regardless, whenever I saw him play for Newcastle he looked rock-solid. He's only 30, so not sure why he's not played as much recently, but under the right manager he could be an inspired choice, especially if the wages are right.

With that being said, is Max O'Leary not an option for the first-team? I know he's young, and he's not played professional-level football before, but if he does well in our pre-season games you'd hope that we either put some faith in him, or push him towards the next step up, either in League 1 or League 2.

As much as no one wants to see a player get injured, this could prove to be the catalyst for urgency in regards to speeding up our search for a new number 1.

It could also be LJ's opportunity to see how Max does as number 1.

GK is one of the only positions that we are truly lightweight in, we have so far done really well in terms of forging a team that could mount a challenge, if not this season then the next.
