cheshire_red Posted July 27, 2018 Report Share Posted July 27, 2018 No, they actually relocated from a village of 1500 people, Llansantffraid-ym-Mechain where they were known as The Saints, the village is one mile inside the Welsh Border and 7 miles from Oswestry. They actually played Liverpool in 2005 losing 6-0 on aggregate in the Champions League (home leg played at Wrexham) Gerrard coming off the bench to score two late goals in the home leg .
