Absolutely why the EFL must apply the ffp rules rigorously and properly punish clubs that breach. If that means points penalty to deny them promotion the so be it. Agreed. It cheats the other clubs who battle very hard to comply- just look at our sales this summer then look at Forest!? Still think Wolves over 3 years weren't so big breachers but Forest will certainly be!
Rudolf Hucker
Jack Colback looks like he's stealing a wage from Forest. He must have earned a bundle from the game but has given back so little.
Olé
For all the players and quality of football, I wonder if Forest fans end up resenting Karanka's low scoring mentality the way Boro fans did. Not to say they didn't have chances today to win, but their goal was from long range and it's possible there is a pattern emerging of expensive side failing to break down opponents. I think Karanka is slightly overrated - he's spend nearly £110m over his time with Boro and now Forest, including £25-30m the other time he got promotion out of this division, and a similar amount already this time (it was also implied in the Sky interview with him tonight that he may want other players before Thursday). Of course money isn't enough to get out of this division (see: Villa) but the portrayal of Karanka as a top manager and specialist in this division needs tempering with a reminder of quite how much he needs or expects to spend on players, to get in a position to succeed in this division. And that's what we're up against.

And that's what we're up against. I must be in the minority of thinking that they are not looking that special. On Saturday, despite being the better team, certainly in the second half, they didn't threaten our goal that much, and again tonight for all their possession they created few clear cut chances. They were at the end, fortunate to get a draw really. Thinking back to last season, Wolves, Fulham and even Brentford looked a lot more impressive. Just a mere two games in of course, but not sure if the money they have spent will have the desired effect.
