I remember seeing him before his transfer to Arsenal. A very good keeper who would have possibly kept Tony Cook out of the side if he had not gone to Highbury. And that might have diminished Cook's legend status with those of us old enough to remember both. And a cracking game against the Gunners as part of the transfer fee. Arsenal provided a team and the City fans paid to watch them, so we paid part of the transfer fee to sell our own player. How crazy is that? Happy birthday Con and plenty more.
