Sniper
If so...…….. Need some advice please Our bathroom was done a few years back and it turns out that the guy who did it tiled straight onto the floorboards with no backer board/plywood etc. Some of the tiles have now started to make a popping/cracking sort of noise and you can see that some of them rock a bit. I know that he want straight onto the floorboards as my brother who is pretty good as most things replaced the worst two with some spares that we had left over, and said that's your problem, and it shouldn't have been done that way. So before I speak to the guy, in the world of tiling is it a complete no no to tile straight onto the floorboards? Cheers

As a wooden floor will flex slightly and not be perfectly flat hence a rigid tile will crack / rock. Did this guy wear spurs? Thinking about it he did arrive on a horse Cheers Zider, thought that might be the case. Looks like I've got a pretty good case then, not a lot he can say really if he's bodged it by being lazy.
