What took the coaches so long to leave the ground on saturday?

We got told by a copper to get on our coach straight away as they wanted the coaches to leave as soon as possible

Just wondering if anyone knew what the delay was

I thought that too, at least 20 minutes docked outside the ground. Police were probably waiting for the Blackpool crowd to clear to prevent any trouble.

But I think most have heard about the lady who lost both legs in a motor bike incident.Who I think was making her way the church for her wedding.

I thought it said it Happened in Blackpoolon saturday.

Not sure if this had anyting to do with the delayed start away from Blackpool

I don't think it would have had any affect as it was in the middle of town.

However, you are correct. An appalling and very sad accident indeed. I stayed over in the area until Monday evening and bought the Blackpool Evening Gazette on Monday for their (prejudiced) match report.

"A 42 year old lady had her legs amputated after her billowing bridal dress got caught in the wheels of a motor trike as she was driven to the Church and dragged her legs into the mechanism."

There is obviously a lot more in the report but suffice to say the harrowing story makes sad and grim reading.
