Lime Kiln is dead certainly the best real ale pub in Bristol https://whatpub.com/pubs/AVN/165/lime-kiln-bristol

Big claim Tommy! I'm sure you've done your 'research', but there's a few you may not have taken into account.

The Victoria and Portcullis in Clifton are well worth a visit, as are all Dawkins' pubs imo. Time they took over a couple in South Bristol in fact.

Also in Clifton the Quinton House, the Channings Hotel, and the Lansdown.

All proper real ale pubs with plenty of choice on handpump. Suggest a Clifton crawl on your next trip over.

You no doubt know all about the old world charms and great ale of the Nova Scotia, and the unpretentious Coopers Arms is often overlooked - an excellent traditional pub for a pre match pint of real ale, even closer to the ground.
