The chances of Mourinho doing a long term thing like that is akin to us winning the Europa League next season. Utterly laughable. Well 3 year plan then. 3 year plan to overhaul Juventus. Admin phantom Posted February 5, 2019 Admin Report Share Posted February 5, 2019 Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has accepted a one-year prison sentence in Spain for tax fraud. He is unlikely to spend any time in prison, as Spain usually does not enforce sentences of less than two years. The Portuguese national was accused of owing Spanish tax authorities nearly €3.3m (£2.9m). In addition to the suspended sentence, he will pay a reported €2m in fines. The offences related to undeclared income around image rights while he was managing Real Madrid in 2011-2012. -------------------------------------------------------------- Assume the line about Spain not enforcing sentences less than two years only applies to certain offences? Grey Fox
The riches of the Premier League are increasingly coming with a price tag, which has to be paid. The reason our league has so many followers world wide compared to other possibly technically superior leagues such as the Spanish and Italian is ours is fast , furious and exciting.. That's what the punters want, that's what they pay for. If a top PL side is not providing that the paymasters won't be happy, pressure will be applied. We fans don't want "boring" as a tactic either, so I haven't got a problem with getting rid of the Mourinho's (he will be back) and Pulis's who may be "effective" but are "cheating" us of entertainment.
