He has been off form in recent weeks but hopefully he's back at Sheff Utd and 'Boro where he's played well in recent seasons.

Reckon he has signed a deal to leave us in the summer and it’s just waiting for the start of the window to be made official...

Wouldn’t that be illegal?  Tapping up?

I think you can sign for other clubs outside of the window but nothing official can be confirmed until the window starts.

Im prepared to be corrected on that though...

Theoretically anything can be agreed, but technically he’s under contract til summer 2020.

Its a bit different to the pre-contract stuff the likes of Lewandowski have signed...and even those aren’t legally binding.  There’s a bit on wiki re a Scottish Free-agent who got out of his pre-contract.

Personally I think he’ll be off....but I don’t think we’ll get as much as some people think, less so when we give Oxford some of it!

I think if we can get 3-4 million for himthat would be good business. The guy sat behind me said we shouldn’t let him go for anything under 8 mill, can’t see it being anywhere near that to be honest...

Looking at his recent performances I really wouldn’t be surprised if he was off in the summer, he doesn’t look bothered most of the time which is a shame

The issues is always two fold.

1 Contract

2 Registration

You can have a contract with one club but if you are registered with another then they are the only club you can play for. Think loanees

COD is contracted and registered with us as such he could only possibly have signed an agreement of any kind with anyone else If the club has agreed a sale at the end of the season

Odowda s fee to us will be on the basis of he has a year to run and this typically means his value has lessoned marginally Per Joe Bryan say, who was prepared to run out his contract. However this is a dangerous game as a major injury could see a player run out his contract but still be unfit thus not getting paid.

This forum is quality. Full of conspiracy theorists. It was clear to see Callum limping in the last few minutes against Ipswich. But no, he doesn't want to be here, has signed a deal with Leeds United and is clearly dodging game time in Ireland. I know there's not much to grump about at the moment but get a grip lads

Have you seen the effort he's put into the last few games since Norwich?

It looks like somebody who knows they're leaving and so can't be bothered to turn up

Did you not see the 75 minutes Vs Ipswich when he wasn't even on the pitch - dire. I guess that starting 11 know they are leaving and couldn't be bothered to turn up?.

There's a difference between not playing well and not being bothered.

His work rate recently has been really poor. He rarely tracks back or makes any effort to do so and is wasteful on the ball.

Players may have a bad game but I at least expect some effort, and he's shown very little as of late

I think the bloke sat behind you may enjoy a few too many ciders before a game!

He is the same bloke who said he's never seen us win playing 3-5-2 earlier on this season and also berated LJ for not picking korey Smith a couple of months ago...

Well, why was he wearing a go-pro during training running up to the Leeds game?

So he moves on, this is the way we work and what we have to get used to isn’t it? We would like a healthier profit but hey, we move on to the next generation. Adelakun, or Jonny Bale or Rory Holden if they are deemed ready

Good luck to him if he can get a contract with Leeds. I've not seen enough consistent quality to say he'd get anywhere their first team on a regular basis. Certainly not if they go up.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Forest go in for him, especially with Martin O Neill and Roy Keane connection with ROI.

3/4 if we are lucky, he has lived in the same apartment since his arrival not committing any future so I would exspect him to depart in the summer where as Brownhill has bought a new pad and settled with his Mrs. As already mentioned it will be a massive summer on all fronts on so many different levels.

If he is injured for a few weeks, I feel he's already played his last game for us as will definately be gone in the summer. Sad really given the opportunity the club have given him to develop and get to where he is. I reckon he will be one of those players that will move on but the grass won't be greener on the other side.

hes inconsistent and its concerning that his form ties in line with contract refusal etc. not really the type of attitude that will drive us to promotion.

look at Ramsey in comparison. Is leaving for juventus but continues playing out of his skin for arsenal. First class attitude.

I can see this, but I’m a bit amazed by people saying he is worth millions and millions, like he is the next big thing? Yes he is a good player, or can be but is he really a great player?

Yes I understand he is a full international, but even I qualify for Ireland ?, but is he consistent enough for us really to be thinking he is Premier League or top end Championship bound ?

He’s had his fair share of lengthy injuries too, no little knocks for him, it’s weeks and months recovery time.

Dont get me wrong, I do like him but over the months watching the Championship this season and last for example, I’ve seen a fair few wingers look just as good or better. What honestly makes him stand out?

IMO O'Dowda is the most exciting and technically gifted player we have had for many years. That goal against Norwich is worth 8 million alone. His inconsistency is very frustrating and I get the impression that he thrives on positivity and confidence. Bielsa will see the raw talent in Callum, he will know how to get the best out of him - something which I don't believe LJ can ever do.

My opinion is different ?

I agree with Davefevs comment. I see Callum as one who can run and run but his problem is where he runs to. Round in circles, down blind alleys and any direction to get it on his left foot as he cannot use his right.

Too inconsistent to be a major part of a club that needs consistent performers to make any sort of progress toward promotion.

Sorry but this just goes to show what he is capable of and more often than not doesn’t deliver .

I agree. If he could consistently play like this he wouldn’t be with us, so let’s see where the interest comes from. Maybe it will be from the Premier League where they can attract players and then leave them on the sidelines more often than not.

Someone has put footage of him having a blinder, but to be fair there could be so much more posted about the times where he has missed many opportunities too, and no I don’t want that posted. But as far as I’m concerned he has been, ‘great’, ‘average’, ‘below par’ and ‘unavailable’ for us, not in equal measure.

What's the latest with Callum? Just listened to Lee's post match interview and at the end he is asked about Callum. He said he's not fit. I don't know why but I get the feeling something's not right and we've seen the last of Callum in a City shirt.

I doubt we are going to,see COD play for us again - it would appear things may have gone sour due to his refusal, or his agents refusal, to agree a new deal.

He is massively inconsistent but does have something, maybe BCFC is not the place for him.

Anyway, if he goes, good luck to him and we move on - no big deal.

I fear that also but Bobbi and Joe also refused to sign last season and played. There must be more to this and we will never know what the hell is going on. I don't give a toss, sort it out and get all hands to the pump for these vital games

I hear what you are saying fella BUT IF there is a thought in the coaching teams head that he won’t give 100% and I am NOT saying that is the case, then better to leave him out.
