Boro were absolutely clueless and Pulis style football is outdated and obviously not what the Boro fans want, you only have to look at the thousands of empty seats in their stadium. I hope we do a job on them Tuesday night and he does get sacked.

Mr Popodopolous
We can now go there with a lot of confidence. Not absolutely must win either- we can go there and consider playing for a draw as one option. This has 2 benefits- firstly Middlesbrough with pressure on them and in a long slow decline since they were 2nd last weekend of November...they'll have to come at us and there could be good chances on the break. If we get first goal and then weather a 10 minute storm say, those chances referred to above could be huge. Very winnable but definitely a 'must not lose' game. Second key benefit is a draw even puts us 6th, plus keeps Middlesbrough behind with a game more played while one less game to make up the shortfall. Middlesbrough are a more reactive side though so countering on them at times could yield strong rewards.

Mr Popodopolous
On the Pulis theme- we really do owe him one. Stoke 2008 anyone? We win Tuesday and their playoff chances will be in some jeopardy.

Agreed, I’d also put someone who’s pacy alongside Fammy, Boro’s defence will relish playing against a striker like FD especially Flint, but when facing someone who’s quick he’s abit suspect. Any changes to Saturday's side? Worked pretty well...could tweak it a little. Given Paterson has had improved form from the start of unbeaten run to now, one option could be Paterson behind Weimann, in a 3-5-1-1. Or Palmer maybe though he seems to make most impact off the bench... I'd be loathe to change anything from the Sheffield United game though after such a good win, injuries or suspensions notwithstanding.

Be tough to change things after a performance like that, but we ourselves know Flints vulnerabilities and the coaching staff certainly do, so just a thought to maybe target a possible weak point.
