Admin phantom Posted April 2, 2019 Admin Report Share Posted April 2, 2019 Not sure if this will of any use to anyone other than commuters but see planning permission has recently be granted for a new one platform train station to link up with the current Portway park and ride site, how many years until it opens is another thing, but guess at least the planning has been approved https://planningonline.bristol.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=summary&keyVal=PC097NDNG3E00

But once it’s there it makes the henbury loop more attractive. They could also add in double tracks at various stations to allow more frequent service if required. Lord Northski
Wasn't this proposed over 4 years ago? Although those in Portishead must think such progress is lightening quick.

Drew Peacock
I thought there was no capacity for stops at this station and is a Ferguson white elephant. May be wrong as I was only half listening, but the person who told me is "in the know".
