LEE PLAYING WAIT GAME

BY JAMES ROBSON

12:00 - 27 July 2004

Martin Foyle will decide today whether to give new signing Lee Matthews his first Vale Park run out.

The striker, brought in from Bristol City this summer, picked up a minor back injury during Port Vale's tour of the Isle of Man last week. Now manager Foyle must decide whether to give the home fans their first glimpse of the strong centre forward tonight against Spanish Primera Liga side Racing Santander.

He will also wait before making a decision on Ian Armstrong, who is also an injury doubt.

"We've got one or two injuries and we will have to wait and see if they are fit enough," said Foyle. "Lee Matthews took a knee to the back and Ian Armstrong has a problem with his thigh, but it is nothing serious. We'll see if I put them in or not."

Lee Matthews to start the new season injured at Port Vale .......?

"new injuries" I don't think this is possible mate,

he has had every injury under the sun so it could only

be a reacurrence (spell.) of an old injury!!!!!!!

Your quite right :D if he drove motorbikes for a living he would have been called Barry Sheen (except not as good obviously) :grr:
