eastonboy
Apparently, their match tomorrow will be the 4000'th consecutive game that they have fielded a home grown player in their starting line up, a run that goes back to 1937 (82 years!!). fatchers
Homegrown is a very loose title. Born in London or Wales or some other far flung place and put into the youth system do'esnt make them mancunian. Man U always had a rep for enticing some of the best youngsters away from their parent clubs by waving the check book. Now there is more money sloshing around in the top division it has become more of a level playing field.

A Horse With No Name
doesn't mean much really. They are including Adnan Janusaj who was signed and spent two years going out on loan before breaking into the team. I remember , with City, they were including Leroy Lita as an academy product, even though the vast majority of his development was spent at Chelsea.
