Erithacus
Yes, another hatful conceded today and it's not a great surprise at Chelsea, sadly. The goal difference is a mile behind any other team, so it will come down to points. Next Sunday's game at home to Liverpool is going to be a real defining crunch, even in January. So much could rest on it. Casey Stoney's comments are a bit mean, I feel. Maybe it has a little to do with the fact that the City Women beat them at their place recently. It rather implies that the women's game is linked to the men's - which it is to a certain extent, but not on the pitch. Liverpool: the men are leading the Prem by some distance, the women are propping up the WSL. The old adages applies equally: the table doesn't lie, no team is too good to go down. Was it only a few seasons ago that the Liverpool women were winning titles regularly? Sic Transit Gloria
NcnsBcfc
How does the womans game work with regard to budgets etc? We've done well to keep going in the Super League for the last few years; and unlike Yeovil or Notts County we of course wont go bust. But what is the goal or objective? Any decent player we get; only stays for a year or so; Lucy Graham being a good recent example. Whilst being glad we have a woman's team. I wonder what the plan is for the next 5 years is with the team? We seem to be naturally drifting downwards; in lieu of the top flight teams finally getting their act together. Surely SL could chuck a relative pittance at it to make the team competitive, or are there financial restrictions? I would certainly be a whole lot cheaper to get the ladies to the top of the prem than the men! Would be good publicity for Bristol Sport too if they were up there challenging, with the push to popularize the Women's game at present. Of all the components of Bristol Sport the ladies team surely would be the easiest to get to the very top I would tthink? English woman’s super league is getting stronger and stronger and does deserve some merits. I posted three months ago about the quality of a player playing for Perth glory and the Ozzie matildas team and her name his Sam Keer. Sammy is currently playing for Chelsea and if any of you get chance to google her the quality of her play is exceptional and it has even reported Chelsea paid a record fee to bring her from OZ to the uk. If we had a mix gender team then what a partnership she would be with Fam. Now that’s another story for another day.

City women's next game is against Liverpool, so a crucial one for them to win. You say that but with regards to women’s football Bristol has been one of the big names for a while with in the game,

old_eastender
After their latest thrashing this season (0-5 at home to Everton last night), just wondering are City women part-timers, or full-timers? If they are full-timers will that change if (as seems highly likely) they get relegated from the WSL?
CyderInACan
Ouch. That is a tanking. I wonder if there is FFP in the Women's game? Liverpool women play at Prenton Park. Also, with us and the rugby already playing at the gate, the scheduling to get Womens football in would create more problems. Steve Watts
I thought I'd read that adding the womens matches to the Gate full time would impact the already well used pitch. The same with the U23's. Failand would seem to be the logical place when the training ground is built, but it's not really the most accessible for supporters, which is where SGS has a massive advantage. Negan
Why add more strain to our pitch for the women? No offence but not enough people really cares about women's football. I may be wrong but when the new training ground is made aren't the women's home games being played there?
Unan
I thought I read the women's games would be played at our new training ground when built, as well as u23 games, may have completely made that up.
