THIRD ROUND - REPLAY
Blackpool 19:45 Reading
Coventry City 19:45 Bristol Rovers
Newcastle United 19:45 Rochdale
Shrewsbury Town 19:45 Bristol City
Tranmere RoversPWatfordP
Tottenham Hotspur 20:05 Middlesbrough (BBC)

Really hoping for an upset at Newcastle  but it must be unlikely. With goings on at the sags you wouldn't bet against them going to Cov fired up to get a result for their gaffer.

Just noticed Tranmere's game has been called off due to waterlogged pitch. I think they must be about another hour up the road so hopefully Shrewsbury will escape the weather

The Liverpool womens game there last Sunday was postponed too, they are having real problems with the drainage at Prenton Park at the moment. Lots of rumblings up there since their previous "award winning" groundsman got the boot

Prenton Park

Interesting how the BBC have announced the game as being postponed but the Tranmere website still says this:

Tonight's Emirates FA Cup Third Round Replay against Watford at Prenton Park remains scheduled to go ahead as planned despite the best efforts of Storm Brendan.

A high volume of rain fell on Prenton Park on Sunday and Monday, with further rain forecast for this afternoon.

Both clubs have been in regular contact with each other, the referee and the Football Association over the past two days, discussing the options available.

In order to give the game the best possible chance of going ahead as scheduled a MacLeod Pitch Covering System was deployed at Prenton Park yesterday evening. The cover protects the pitch from rain and also allows air to circulate underneath which is hoped will dry out the surface.

The referee is expected to arrive at Prenton Park at lunch time today, but with more Storm Brendan forecast to hit Wirral with more heavy rain this afternoon the MacLeod Cover will be in place until approximately 6-6.30pm tonight, which will be the first opportunity the referee will have to carry out his full normal pre-match inspection.

We appreciate the difficulty this may pose for supporters, but the timing has been determined to give the fixture every chance possible of taking place tonight.

Any further updates will be posted on the Club website and social media and we thank supporters of both clubs for their patience.

Weather looking far calmer for Shrewsbury now.

Any strong winds subsided by 4 pm and light rain probable throughout the game.

I've seen forecast a deluge of goals for the way team!

If we start off like we finished at Wigan it's quite possible.

Raining goals like this, maybe... :whistle2:

'35 minutes gone here at Shrewsbury and Bristol City have started like a HURRICANE!

Patterson's just nutmegged the keeper for the 4th after a quick fire hat trick from Diedhiou PLUNGED Shrewsbury's hopes of a 4th round tie with Liverpool into GLOOM.

Oh, MY WORD! Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat a volley by Dieudhiou!! He's thumped home his 4th and Bristol City's 5th FROM FULLY 55 YARDS!

His 4th volleyed goal of the match, and each one from further out than the last!!

I've... NEVER.... seen.... anything ....like..... THIS!! Bristol City are running riot!!!

37 minutes gone here at the Montgomery Waters Meadow - Shrewsbury Town NIL BRISTOL CITY 5!!

YES, YES, YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSS - that's right GarlandSweden - I SAID FIVE!!!!

Come back for more goal updates, of which I expect there to be many.

Meanwhile - and it won't be for long - BACK TO THE STUDIO.'

'Phew, well, Gary, Liverpool and Klopp must be absolutely shi**ing it - oops the microphone is switched off isn't it?

'GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLL!' ?

If Coventry get through they then play Birmingham at home, so will Birmingham fans be the away fans in their own ground ? ?
