Oh Louie louie
If you turned left by franks shop and followed the path you came out by another rank of shops, just on the bend of dean lane. Ive got no ideal when the museum shut sorry never, possibly early 90s. Some of franks stock was 3 years out of date in his fridge, bit like a museum in there too! Never ive got no leads where his programes went sorry, He did have something of w d graces there i recall, from when he played there.

redapple
I remember Monty very well . I played cricket with him for Southville Wayfarers. What a character. As 13 / 14 year old I shared quite a few 10th wicket stands with him. He was a wicket keeper who always stood up and played well into his 70’s . He knew everybody on the cricket scene in Bristol. I remember him showing me around his museum , there was a lot of sports and Bristol memorabilia. Prior to that it was a bookies. The City players of the time used to frequent it . Hence Monty got them to play Cricket on Sundays . I remember playing with Donnie Gillies, Keith Fear, Dave Rodgers, Chris Garland and Ray Cashley as a teenager . Great days .
