I was intrigued to see why the topic was hot. Thought something interesting may have happened, but no, just people talking about if they like the design of a shirt that the vast majority will never own or wear.

I do genuinely find it weird when I see adults wearing football shirts though. Why do people feel the need to display which team they support? Surely attending games and supporting the team will suffice?

Doesn't really matter to you does it. Personally I wouldn't buy one, I quite like the training wear for the gym, but it doesn't really matter to me what people do.

Are the Ashton Gate 8 and their families receiving anything for their part in the design of this kit?

The commercialisation of this sorrowful chapter of our history doesn’t sit well with me otherwise.

That was my first thought. Surely they must have received something.

So football shirts are out, other sports club shirts are out, band t-shirts are out.

Anything else you want that we should all follow when we get dressed in the morning? Wouldn't want to cause you any unnecessary distress.

Previous years I haven't been able to buy a shirt due to the Small being far too big, and the youth kits having "Robins" on the front...

Thankfully this year I will be able to buy one of these beauties:

So one can actually buy a shirt without a sponsor? That would be a very positive move.

Do the women and men's sides still have different sponsors? I'm sure more would be made of it if the men's side had Thatchers.

Assume only front of shirt main sponsor

It was only the player that shared this and not seen it anywhere else. I guess all will be revealed tomorrow

Bit disappointed that Robins hasn’t replaced the sponsor like last 2 seasons! Looks a bit plain with nothing may as well buy the training top!

Instead of a free shirt..?

I though everyone wanted/preferred sponsorless shirts anyway..?

I’ve just bought my baby 6 month daughter her first kit, cost me £50 with her name and and number on the back but what the hell!

You know it'll only last her a couple of months until she grows out of it, right?

The use of dry-dye technology is superb to be fair, really applaud JL/the club on that. There are many things that are pretty appalling about the way football shirts are manufactured unfortunately, and water consumption is one of them. Great we've addressed that.

Having a betting company as a sponsor is regrettable given the horrendous impact it has on some in society; let's be clear, bankruptcy/severe debt and even a contributing factor to suicide at worst.

But overall, it's a lovely shirt and will surely sell big.

I'm delighted by this. The smallest adult size is baggy on me, and having 'Robins' emblazoned on the front has always put me off getting a youth shirt. But love the look of the shirt without a sponsor.

I like the look of the shirt and would be happy to see the 8 get a %tage of sales. Unfortunately I'm 58 years of age and waaaaaaayyyyyy too old to wear a Football Shirt. I'll stick to Polo Shirts

Well I`m nearly 68 and I have just bought one, also... really .....bought a 8 mug as well, (waits for comments on that) in the hope that maybe something goes back to the 8, if I do ever get back to the gate I would be proud to wear it as well.

Didn't notice the players faces on the shirt or a couple of other details pointed out by Jon Lansdown;

From that interview JL says they got in touch with the families to let them know what the Club we're doing.

He doesn't say whether they asked permission to do it. To use names and images.

Can you do that without permission...use someone's name and image in a product to sell?

Surely in this day and age, permission would have to be sought and image rights agreed?

Just adding to the above  I hope that the club aren't just going to keep all the money associated with kits, books, paintings etc of these guys they make.

The shirt by itself is a monstrosity, yet learning now it has matching shorts makes it even worse.  Last time I saw something like that was the best part of 30 years ago, remember this beast?

The shorts and socks are for kids/fans to buy but won’t be worn by the team, it’s white shorts and socks for the players

How about this from Brum.

I think the away version was a red variant, Norwich had green/yellow and I think Posh had something similar

My fault for not reading this line.  I just assumed that if you released a kit, you would have them to sell?  But anyway, I've ordered a shirt for my mates birthday which is on the 23rd! And it looks like >>> Orders will be fulfilled by the end of October.

What the actual......

I not overly bothered, but only Bristol City can be the last team in europe to release their home kit, and then take 2 months to get it to you when they do. Bristol City off the field is a complete shamble isn't it.  That and the media team! They couldn't even get the score right on the the youtube highlights!

They also advertise it as "Available Now" which is a bit misleading

You've have thought with no fans being allowed into the stadium that there commercial side would be on point trying to put up as much revenue as possible. Nope.

To be fair, they are all clearly listed as "Pre-Order" and it does state that orders will be fulfilled by the end of October (as below).

Though, as to why it takes this long when other Hummel clubs are selling their's already is anybody's guess!!

Presumably we couldn't put our stock order in until the sponsor issue was sorted?

So, is there no option to go to the club shop and try one on?
The sizes/tightness/baggieness/length of these kits change every year and I don’t know if the same size as last year will fit my 6 year old. Ideally she’d be able to try it on.
Will they actually be in the club shop at any time or is it all online only?

No I was down there yesterday the changing rooms are closed - I couldn’t try a jacket on had to take the chance it fitted (it did!)

Do you usually need to strip off to try on a coat....?  Surely you could've done that without a changing room.....?
