New Hummel Training Kit 2020/21

If we’ve released this now and it’s available Thursday, wonder if we’ll be in Hummel kit for the rest of the season...? We’d only be breaking contract with ourselves presumably and start getting the money in from Hummel.

No, they’re described as “match warm up tees”. And they don’t have the sponsor or sleeve badges.

OK, Just assumed that we had not announced a new sponsor yet

No because as you say they are NEXT seasons sponsors and kit supplier

I’m 50 years of age, and I am seriously thinking of buying a City shirt for the first time since the Mick Harford shiny Park Furnishers kit!!

.....and I have birthday money.

Depends if the contract with Hummel has a start date included as opposed to a season one, lots of teams are having this situation, Liverpool are swapping to Nike next season but it’s by Nike’s discretion they’re allowed to use this seasons kit for the rest of the season. What would we gain from keeping Bristol Sport rather than start asap with Hummel if it’s a date? (ie July 1st when players would normally return for pre-season ish)

I think Surrey and Northants are looking into this from a cricket perspective. Also seen today a German theatre removing some seats - allowing singles and blocks of two to allow couples to attend.

I think the entry/exit process is part of the issue, but equally it’s about people moving around the stadium even if social distancing is kept - eg I sit row T in the Dolman. Fair chance if I sit there, I’ll handle the barrier - is that safe? If a way can be found, then we and other clubs may be able to do reduced capacity. You could even maximise it by where people live together (eg I take my two kids) you can have a three together, then distancing to a single or a two.

Probably that part is to the broader thread. I’m not sure though how many would want to go as the sole attendee which was the question here - I’d probably be in two minds (with the alternate being to watch it at home with the kids) but would come down on the side of being there

Closer look (when I said closer look didn't realise the pic was that big...)

adidas football retro ajax kit 2020 2021 away strip

Did you know? That Ajax logo consists of eleven lines of different lengths. Each line represents one of the players, each different and without any one line the logo does not look right. It is a design classic. Most Ajax fans don’t know about it.

Was there supposed to be a RobinsTV test event this evening? Kit release....?

'In order to cope with the additional demand that behind closed doors will inevitably bring, we’re launching a new web platform on which to host the matchday show. This goes live on Monday, June 15th  with the first programme showing on Wednesday, June 17th at 7.30pm. '

Definitely getting the black one.

If you're feeling like that you'd best get a black one from Anne Summers!

Bloody awful. State of Hummel. Couldn't design their way out of a cardboard box. Sack the media team. LJ out.

(Absolutely love the training wear. Might be the first bit of merchandise I have bought in 10 years)

Great nod to the 92 94 shirts. I wonder if this design is bespoke to us. Must be I reckon as it's too much of a coincidence for hummel to have this template up and running available to all. Can't wait for the actual shirts now. Just hoping the fit is nice and not too athletic for the average football fan

Not a fan of black kits, personally.

I was really hoping our away kit would be classic white with black trim, would look absolutely mint in that design.

I think a white shirt with red trim would be even better!

I have also been looking through the thread for someone who dislikes it. I’ve never seen a thread like this!

"It's not like Hummel to copy another manufacturer. Very "Adidas" 80s/90s pattern that (Holland 88, Germany Italia 90 away, Soviet Union/CCCP)."

Not so sure.

If ZiderEyed is not moaning, he/she is not far off! :shocking:

Lucky it's not the kit then.

To be fair, the way they've released these it seems to have caught a lot of people out and I can see why.

I'll go against the crowd and say it isn't my favourite ever training kit. Don't hate it, don't love it. So far as training kit goes it's better than some recent examples, and at least doesn't have terrible font splashed on the mid-section. However, looking back over the years kits or shirts with this kind of heavy pattern date very quickly. It might look great in today's fashion but in 20 years will be ridiculed like those same style kits from the 90's now look.

I'm hoping the match kit is a plainer design.

I didn’t think it was the kit, just stating that I don’t like black kits, and thus hope the actual kit isn’t black

I'm usually first to be critical of our merchandise but looking at this latest release I'm very impressed let's hope the kit is 100% like these today because the club will make some serious cash out of sales I will be putting in order tomorrow ?  so far so good Hummel ?

Was confirmed on the website that the away kit is purple and lime.

"Matchday warm-up tees come in red, green and black, while the anthem jackets are red, and purple and lime, showing a return to the popular away strip of the early 1990s and which was voted the best kit in the English Football League for the 2017/2018 campaign."

Maybe a black third kit? Probs a bit meh if so.

Hummel track tops are always exceptional. I bought one for my favorite Scottish lower league side a year or two back and it's far better than any of the Bristol Sport stuff, sharp detailing, thinner shell like material, and the fit is brilliant.

Agree these look great, only complaint relative to most traditional Hummel track tops is not having a higher collar, and the white or alternate coloured cuffs and waistband look a bit childish and won't be very flattering for most of us.

Tracksuit tops look like the fila 80’s casual ones. They’re stunning. Seriously thinking of getting one and I’m 50 this year.

Really impressed. Love the black shirt, and the purple/lime track top, in fact the red one looks good.

I think the only thing that will stop me getting several items is, when they release the prices to go with them.

It’s amazing what can be achieved by allowing professionals to take charge.

Hummel : “Here’s the new kit design. What’s reckon Jon”

Jon : “Yeah it’s nice, but, any chance we could write Bristol City across the front in Comic Sans?”

Hummel : No. **** off.

It was good for a bit, but after a while it was clear we needed a change. Some of the training gear from Bristol Sport has looked pretty naff before.
