Would Cotts get us promoted now?

Ok, not for one minute suggesting Cotts should be in the running for the job, just wondering what would happen if he was re-hired?

Cotts has previously said it was his belief that we could push strongly for back to back promotions, although this was hampered in part by the failure to land his key transfer targets following our League One championship.

Now we are in a stronger position financially and established at the top end of the Championship, would SC be able to repeat some of the magic that saw us blow away League One?  Even if he wanted to go back to his tried and tested 3-5-2, we'd be much stronger this time.

Imagine SL unexpectedly decided to bring him back into the fold - how would he do?  Just hypothetical, but I wouldn't be surprised if he once again created a swash-buckling, dominant City team that could finish comfortably in the top six and push hard for the 2 automatic places.

To use one of the most common quips from the last few years on OTIB - is this a job for Cotts?  (Sorry, couldn't help it!)
