As I understand it, there is/was no defence coach, just coaching staff - not sure where this has come from ? Because he was a defender ? Was Jamie Mac the "attacking coach" ? I would say that based on the teams performance over the last 2 years none of our coaches were particularly great As per was he the defence coach, it seems most teams now have coaches who tend to specialise in specific areas. Seems pretty obvious he is given he's mentioned nowhere in the article. I guess they don't want to rain on Holden's parade by immediately following it up with a Macca announcement. But at the same time seems pretty poor to have just ushered him out the back door. A bloke who for all his faults has given this club many years of his life both on and off the pitch.
