We need to accept that we are just not good enough in midfield to play just one recognised midfielder. Bakinson for me is a starter. Playing someone to support him is vital to give the team the balance it needs. We can then play Pato in the No 10 he surely is. Add 3 upfront with O’Dowda to give us more pace and width or Semenyo would give us better balance and shape. Our wingbacks dont get any further forward than they do in a 4. So just dont see any reason to persist with the 3. Holden has been quick to sacrifice one of the midfield in the last 2 games and play 5 upfront when adding some extra legs to midfield always looked like a better option. 5 upfront in this division is at best wreckless. Decent teams will pick you off on the break. Bentley and some bad Norwich finishing kept the score down today. Maybe when we have Baker and Mawson fit we could go back to the 3 but we also need to have the extra man in midfield to give us better control in games. But with the fit players available now we have to go to a 4-2-1-2 to get get back to winning ways.
