Dr Balls
Just like a slow motion car crash, our current situation has been building up for months, yet despite everything pointing to a change of direction being needed, and this appearing obvious to many who follow the club, the owner seems to be unable to do what needs to be done put things right. It’s painful especially as we all know what will happen at some point but will it be too late to stop things becoming much worse? What would also help considerably would be that once changes are made, the CEO, Chairman and owner came out and admitted that they got the head coach selection process badly wrong in the summer, that Dean Holden was the wrong choice, that it was their fault rather than Dean’s, and that lessons have be learnt such that we don’t ever go through such a fiasco again and that we will appoint an experienced and successful team manager. A little bit of contrition could go a long way to getting supporters back onside, because at the moment, the leadership of the club has managed to make them feel more distanced and disenfranchised from the club for a very long time. Indeed. I think the paying supporters of Bristol City Football Club deserve an apology for the complete farcical appointment and selection process of last summer. We won’t get it mind you as their ego’s won’t allow it but we bloody well deserve one.
Lack of Action Man
It is truly astounding that the board have not learned from the other two internal appointments which became similar slow building crises, before eventually turning into full blown implosions: Tinnion and Millen. Everyone and their dog could see this was TOTALLY the wrong appointment. To then spout the utter shit that Holden is the man to take us to the next level is frankly scandalous. Unbelievable mismanagement from the top down.
RedRock
Not months, years. The writing been on the wall since that Man City defeat. Slow, and now accelerating decline. Change the players, the coaches, the manager but one ‘constant’ on the operational football side of the Bristol Sport empire. He’s running out of people to sack/blame now.
