£15 quid tickets and kid a quid

£5 for pensioners, too.

They’re pretty much giving them away & yet still can’t even get 9000 at home on a beautiful afternoon when there is no football in the top two divisions.

Hope Accrington enjoyed their Cup Final at Membley today ??‍♂️C9CCC568-E2AA-4874-8776-14C52CE941D2.thumb.jpeg.b6b8ba5f5f8fd06ec79daa2c62a5177f.jpeg

Membley, absolutely love it. Irony of the highest, and from the official sags!!

Reckon the tea lady must be panicking. Only a matter of time before she costs them a game.I reckon Mr Barton has acquired a tombola from "someone " to put his excuses in.

Lee did wonder what happened to that when he got to Sunderland. Dirty pikey bastard...

If you look again you do see the ball boy running to get the ball (his job) but even if he was a bit keener than you would like how about the Sag who is half asleep and reacts far too late, loses the challenge, plus the numerous sags in the middle who allowed the Stanley player to run across them and nod it in. If we conceded that I have a suspicion that the last lad in the firing line would have been the young kid……….

A couple of further points here.

The ballboy is quick to return it (arguably as he should be), and the corner is taken quickly, but the first contact on the corner is STILL from a rovers defender and he has the byline around 3-4 yards away - you'd imagine that most professionals would realise their team are ill-prepared and just roll (or welly) it out for another corner and get properly setup. NOT our "intrepid" sag he tries to... well actually I dont know what TF he thought he was going to do, and i very much doubt he did either. He stops the ball overruns it and giftwraps for a stanley player to cross, compounding his error by slipping when he tries to recover.

Meanwhile when the corner is actually taken a stanley player is on his knees in the box (he was the player that made the long run and took the shot that resulted in the corner) he looks shagged. He is in the box suroounded by six gas heads not one of them gets close to him and they give him the freedom of the membley turf to nod it in.

Clearly all the fault of the gurt ted ballboy

From the BBC match report...

Bristol Rovers' winless run stretched to eight games in all competitions as Accrington earned victory at the Memorial Stadium.

Joe Pritchard headed home a near-post corner from a Sean McConville delivery after quick thinking from the Rover's ball boy on 54 minutes to secure the visitors a second away win of the season in League One.

Legend!!

Their fan base seems to be divided between the “God, we are awful - we are in deep doodoo this season” camp and “Remember last season, we started poorly and look how it ended”. Except they were in a much weaker division - if it’s shaping up to be a carbon copy of any season it’s 2020/21.

Top 6 with the exception of Derby has already shaped itself in league 1 it seems. They don’t have a championship standard player in league 2 against the likes of Harrogate and Sutton to bail them out.. they’re in the shit and it’s glorious

It will all come good when they move into their new 40,000 seater stadium next … well next … :dunno:

As amusing as this all is, Sharton really needs to think on (if indeed he is capable of thought) before calling out a ballboy like that; you know how their cretinous fans hang on his every word - you can expect that poor lad to get the “Snakey” treatment at future home games. ?

A decent owner would call him in the office for a chat so that won’t be happening. To be fair there are some Fewers that are starting to work out what a horrible excuse of a man they have managing their club. Look at it another way, if Pearson called out your son or your grandson like that how would you feel?

Also, he clearly didn’t think about how upset that kid would be. No doubt a fewer supporter, now he’s probably distressed beyond belief and mentally a basket case after being singled out by Barton as the cause of their defeat.
