wendyredredrobin
Must be a familiar feeling for borehamwood, winning a game of football against a team not fit for the football league at a ground not fit for the football league either. The whole setup is non league TBH and as for the manager, not only is he a disgrace to the football League but a disgrace to humanity. Totally tinpot in every way. 2

That's exaggeration of which even Gasheads would be 'prowed'. Life on earth, if it lasts that long, has but 950m years left. The Sun, having lost around 10% of its present mass, will irradiate to cinder all organic matter, plus remove the Earth's atmosphere long before it itself expands. You're correct though that until then the gaseous 'giant' (sic) will still be minding the gap.

If we are being pedantic, then I can point out that I didn't specify 5 billion for life, but for when the sun will potentially swallow the Earth. The second paragraph stated "in the final years the Earth is inhabited" and didn't specify a timeframe. But, you know, it was just a silly joke and wasn't making a scientific prediction.

RedLionLad
At least we’ve not missed out on a glamour tie in round 3 (although would have been a great chance to progress). On the FA Cup MOTD programme last night they showed the Boreham Wood players celebrating in their dressing room. Now I know that football clubs tend to provide visiting teams with smaller, more humble dressing rooms but theirs still had the ‘kin brooms in there.
