italian dave
Ashton Gate. So much better than the Horfield shithole,,..and that was quarter of a century ago and before we redeveloped it!! And……free kicks for back passes to the keeper…..when do you see them now?!

Plus that run by Aaron Brown, along with an equally memorable one at West Brom (might have been on his debut?) when he hit the post, his finest moment in a City shirt. 2

Good player, capable of great moments that should have happened more often .

sh1t_ref_again
Enjoyed watching that, brought back some good memories. Strange to think, anyone under 30 will not remember or have really experienced a local derby
cidercity1987
I miss the East End, a half empty South Stand is no comparison and didn't add much to the capacity I believe?
Clevedon Red
Reckon Aaron Brown is still running, the best run and cross I’ve seen down the gate.

Brilliant.

Robbored
I remember feeling really anxious before that game and even more so when Bignot scored so early on. Such a relief to win the match.

harvey54
Is this the night they got shut into the East End and hammered on the way out?
Barrs Court Red
That was such a great night. I missed their first goal lighting a cigarette - no replays to watch in the ground in those days, or online afterwards. 1 hour ago, Clevedon Red said: Reckon Aaron Brown is still running, the best run and cross I’ve seen down the gate. Possibly, though Murray crossing to Goater when we beat them 2-0 to go top is certainly a challenger.
Alan Dicks
Exciting football at Ashton Gate? Not seen that for years. Noise and atmosphere at Ashton Gate? Not heard that for years either . 1 1

Peter O Hanraha-hanrahan
Wouldn’t be the last time we ruined their Christmas. I arrived, pissed, just in time to see the net bulge in front of the Atyeo when one of their donkeys scored, 3 goals in the second half put it to bed and even though one of them hoofed the ball into the net we never really looked in danger. Their fans were silent as per usual. Went back into town afterwards to get even more leathered.

Presumably the other 10k were down the road riding donkeys on the beach.
