The turtle
Yesterday, I went to the Wanda to see atletico. (nothing like cheering a last min goal for city just as a home player gets sent off) But back to topic Outside the stadium they have something really cool, they have 8 players up on banners. Example: Player A = 1949-1960 Player b = 1958-1971 Player C = 1970-1983 Player d = 1981-1993 Etc etc... The history of the club fully linked with just a few players. Which got me thinking, who would make your list for city linking 1950 to today (with the simple rule, you are trying to use as few players as possible)
OneTeamInBristol
Haven’t we got this on banners coming off the ceiling in the Lansdown concourse?

Just for kicks, how would you choose to fill out the non Carey months? Who in that year fills the gap?

Who in that year fills the gap? Nearly anyone in the squad the 2013/14 season! It seems wrong to but we could stick in Adam El Bad (2014 to 2016). Did I get his name right What's clear is that we've go through a several shed loads of 'players' (using that term under advice) over the last 20-25 years. Tonks55
How about this as a list, including some especially popular names. It gets very difficult covering recent times reflecting the trend to follow the money rather than show loyalty, and our tumultuous record in recent years!! John Atyeo 1951 – 1966 (ok not from 1949, but how can you miss him out!) Trevor Tainton 1967 – 1982 (or Geoff Merrick 1967 – 1982) Rob Newman 1981 – 1991 (Amazing when you consider he then went on to serve Norwich for a further 7 years, then Southend for another 4 years) Bob Taylor 1988-1992 (only 4 years but popular and bridges a gap!) Brian Tinnion 1993 – 2005 (as loyal a servant, on and off the field, as you will find!) Cole Skuse 2004 – 2013 (Cant believe he is still playing for Colchester United after a further 8 years at Ipswich (he obviously moved on from Ipswich when he heard Ashton was coming!!) Aden Flint 2013 – 2018 (Might have lost a few fans when he moved on to Middlesborough, then onto Cardiff) Daniel Bentley 2019 - present

Exactly, but with all gaps filled in, here for example 1966-1969 is missing, so the the full lineage is not complete.
