Sticks
Anybody else find the substitutions a little strange yesterday, much in the mould of Wilson tactics. Why didn't he use Gillespie, the kid has a talent, looks like he can change a game and score a goal but was ignored. I'm not going to start the Roberts debate but don't think he was the right player to bring on or be on the bench. I personally think Gillespie should be first sub if not starting instead of Lita, just hope he gets his chance as I think he will be the key to our season. AllTimeRed
I think he will start at barnsley but understand what your saying cause he can change a game. I seem to recall Tinman saying he was going to bring him in slowly. But dont take too long we want him in.
TheOne
Yea, he's still toying around with the structure at the moment, I think we will be seeing abit more of Gillespie and Miller in the next few games.
BCFC Wes
If we're going to stick with 3 strikers I reckon it should be Heffernan, Gillespie and Lita.
bcfcchris2016
Gillespie should have been the best to come on becuase i thought he was the only striker on the bench who would change the game around. Fair play to Anyinsah though. When he came on he turned the game around and so nearly scored himself.
Guest TinmansCulturedLeftPeg
Tinman LOVES Lita....thats why.... http://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=3000&hl= "Leroy was absolutely delighted after the game yesterday I was really pleased for him and he is going to go on and score alot of goals for this club without a doubt he is a born goal scorer. I remember watching him at the training ground in a trial game with Tony Fawthrop it was nil nil at half time when Leroy came on it ended up five nil Leroy scored two with his right foot, two with his left and a header, I have needed no convincing since that day." http://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=3000&hl= I think Orr and Gillespie would link up together well because there good mates from the past apparently.... bucksred
If we're going to stick with 3 strikers I reckon it should be Heffernan, Gillespie and Lita. ← No way..................start Heffernan, Miller, Robbo..........bring on Gillespie for the first tiring striker, 2nd half, and Leroy for the last 20, cos thats his forte
Rocky
Gillespie has been carrying an injury to his hamstring I thought. Same situation as Tommy, wasn't risked from the start and just so happened he didn't get on.
Stylus
The three strikers- Heffernan- Everyone chooses him, goalscorer. Gillespie- Has pace, quick feet and can score goals. Miller- Sort of a target man, good feet and chases everything down. Then bring LIta on for the last 20 min for pace and energy. Murray isn't a striker but a winger. Roberts is a good player but there are simply better players at the club.
Collis
Gillespie IMO - MUST START!! He had a stronger pre-season than Lita and actually has some potential rather than Lita (the headless chicken)
BCFC Wes
I agree Lita iisn't a very good footballer but he has started two games and scored two goals as well a loads from the bench.
Guest smoking_Gee
Lita is a player tinns highly rates. maybe tinns fav. Lets hope he doesnt turn into the new peacock. Lita can score goals but needs to work on his all round play. Lets not be to hard on him. Gillespies time will come!

Leroy is great chasing a game or if we are well in front but Robbo seems to be a better all round player if we're 1-0 up and one of the main strikers gets tired/injured. TomBCFCUK
alright lads i havent posted in a while as i have been on holiday i missed the first game of the season unfortunatly but of what i have heard Tinman has too many strikers personally i think he should be playing .............................murray............................... .........heffernan..............miller..............gillespe...... what do you think ?
Guest TinmansCulturedLeftPeg
No,Murray is not near a midfielder....he relies on his pace to get behind the opposition and hurt them....wide or up front....he's a specialist right-winger though....that's what he is.... First game of the season, boiling hot day, their defenders tiring....a bit of pace can always be dangerous, so I don't think it was a bad shout by Tins. If Joe had stuck those 2 chances away we would have all been saying it was a great substitution. Gillespie will make an impact this season I have no doubt in that, sat just wasn't the day. We are lucky that we do have so many options up front
cityfan
Two years ago Murray and Roberts scored nearly half City's goals. Murray is the supply chain and that is why he's first choice. That is also why Rougier went. Last season, Roberts left on the bench, then right wing, then left out again AND FINALLY RE-INSTATED IN CENTRAL ATTACK. Something like 6 goals in 9 games and secures City a place at Cardiff. ROBERTS HAS to start. He's proven at this level. Heffernan would then play alongside him. No old fashioned target man needed like Miller. Forget the height. City play with speed and on the ground, In any event, Miller has no pace and can go past no one. All he can do is head a ball, nothing more. One dimensional. I prefer Anyinsah and Gillespie as my forward substitutes who I think will cause alot more trouble then Lita. They are busier, in the game more, go past players and do score goals
