viewfromthetrees
Why oh why are flares allowed at football matches? I was in Cardiff and two seats from the poor man that was killed by a flare some years ago. It was an horrific sight and something that will stay with me forever. I really don’t understand people that could even contemplate setting off a flare in a crowd. 1

Hopefully he is okay. It says he was treated for his injuries and was able to watch the rest of the match in the ground which would suggest that any injuries he had were minor. They are still used widespread on the continent though and many European clubs have shown that you can actually have safe pyro shows without fans being injured.
