Retirement announced aged 33 due to health reasons.

Glad I got to see him play at least once!FGpfzMqX0AcSVTq?format=jpg&name=medium

Very well said. A brilliant forward, who's career has ended too early.

Best wishes for the future Sergio.

On a separate note, the guy on the right, isn't that Liam Whatshisname that went to Swindon?

I think I said at the time that he was amongst the handful of players I have seen that were worth the admission fee on their own.

The way he was able to 'hide' on the pitch before ghosting into the area was almost supernatural, I hope he will go into coaching and pass those skills on.

I think I've got this stat right.

Aguero's minutes per goal ratio was that good (108 minutes per goal) that he would have still had the record if he had gone another 28 games (a full 90 minutes each time) without scoring.

A few more stats here....

Sergio Aguero: Barcelona's former Man City striker retires - BBC Sport

Look at some of those stats and highlights. Incredible.

Liam Walsh and he went to Swansea, yes

On a side note, I've just googled Liam Walsh to see how he is getting on. Apparently he has had a frustrating time with injury but is on the verge of making a comeback and there are hopes he can force his way into the team and show what he can do at this level. So that's a bit of new news there.

Fantastic striker,, but i think some of those things are an instinct only possessed by elite level players,,, he could work with semenyo for 10 years and couldnt teach him those things… ( no disrespect to antoine, it applies to most players!)

When he played against us I couldn’t get over

A) How short he was.

B) How big his legs were.

I met him at an award ceremony after a work football event at Man City's training ground and yes the two points above are 100% true. Im 5'11" and felt like I was towering over him however his calves were also the size of me.

He was quite shy, especially when he had 4 teams of girls gushing over him!
