Remember how it became a weekly tradition to write FFS Fontaine on the match day thread?

Not sure if it was under McIness, but this game still gives me nightmares…

Weird how he went from our best defender to one of our worst shortly after he failed his physical to secure his move to Southampton.  The decline in performance level was so steep that it must've been a mental thing rather than purely a physical problem.

Christ, look at the state of this 4th goal!!! Probably one of my most vividly remembered goals against…

Also a reminder that the start of Flint’s career with us didn’t start that well. He turned it around of course. We’ve had others like that overs the years. I even remember the crowd getting on Tinnion’s back at the start. Sometimes patience is needed

I could understand Del not understanding the difference in standard between Scottish and Championship football when he arrived. What baffled me that was his second season when we still had the no hope players and the football actually got worse. The players he brought in were so bad I’ve managed to semi forget them. I can’t remember their names, but just have a vague recollection of blobs awfulness

Sorry :)

If it wasn't for the fact it came against City, that fourth goal would be hilarious. You'd be livid with your centre half if he gave a goal away like that at Dundridge Park on a Sunday morning.

Some decent players in the squad that last season we went down from the Championship (along with Wolves). On paper that team should have had enough to stay up instead of finishing 15 points from safety. Some absolute dross mixed in that squad as well though.

Kilkenny. I saw him on Park Street once. He was walking up on his own, shouting and pointing at things.

I lost respect for Delboy when he turned down Leicester’s £7m (I think) bid for Maynard and kept him whilst he wound down his contract.

I thought Millen was in charge when Maynard left? Or is my mind playing tricks? Plus I thought it was Maynard that said no to them? It’s all a blur, probably best though! COYR

I think the reason the transfer didn’t happen was because Maynard didn’t want to sign for them.
