Doug Harman coming off the board to become Honorary Vice-President

Only met Doug Harman once (per game stadium visit with my kids), but what a lovely guy. City through and through and took time out to speak to me and the kids, answered all the questions we and the rest of the tour had and then took us all into a few other rooms and to meet some of the players (that he was not supposed to do).

So cheers Doug for all you have done for our club over the years and thanks for the warm welcome you give my family and I when we came in many years ago, we always remembered that day and you made it very special for us.

Attended several meetings where he was in attendance, and as the previous poster stated he came across as a very nice man. Very quiet, but that probably belies his persona when making decisions behind the scenes. You don't become Managing Director of a big company without asserting yourself at times.

Glad he's still connected with the club.

Harman is currently director of both Bristol City Holdings Ltd and Bristol City Football Club Ltd.

Assuming he is resigning both positions, this will leave Bristol City Holdings Ltd with a sole director - Jon Lansdown. The articles of association require 2 directors, so someone will need to be appointed when Harman leaves. Gould would be the easy appointment, but might we see a new face?

You fell for the old trick again, Gavin Marshall appears twice, once as Secretary, the other as Director.  CH really needs to undertake some match and merge processing on their Director database.

For Holdings?

Looking at it right now Marshall is Co Sec, Harman and JL are directors. https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/01501663/officers

It's in the accounts as well. Marshall isn't a director.

Nah, sorry, saw you put football.  Wonder if Richard Gould might be added?

Ah right yeh.

I'd assume Football will continue with 3. Agree it makes most sense to put Gould on the board of Holdings, but if they wanted him on that board why not appoint him last year? There must be a reason he is kept at subsidiary level.

The other option could be appointing Marshall as a director of Holdings.
