Taz
Just having a quick flick through Facebook and a video came up from Ben Fosters podcast with (I think) Gary Lewin. The scenario is that the club are buying a player, and the deadline is literally less than an hour away. The question is, how thorough is the medical. The answer in this scenario, is basically that it is/can be a risk assessment based on the amount of money/length of contract potentially on offer. That being said, GL states that they would sit down with the manager/board before deadline day and ask who is on our radar, and then go away and do their research on those players. He does give an example of how the information they found out, helped them with a potential signing (who did sign), but didn't name names. The comments would hint at Marc Overmars though. Anyway, thought I'd share as I found it quite interesting. Ben Foster Podcast Edited April 7, 2022 by Taz 1
