Gazred
Had a damn good run with them. Could of seen him going at the end of season regardless but they must have someone lined up to come in now. Odd timing really.
Mattredrobin
Can't believe that. Can't imagine Burnley fans being to happy about that.
GrahamC
Think when they were taken over by Americans who have saddled them with debt it was the beginning of their decline. Done an unbelievable job with a fraction of the resources of the likes of Howe or Lampard.

cidercity1987
Great, such a nothing club at Prem level. Hope they sink back down here permanently 1 1
The Batman
Very strange decision but won't have any issues getting another job. Saw that Billy Mercer was the keeping coach. Blast from the past there. Them two go back to the Chesterfield days. Best of luck to those taking over.
The Dolman Pragmatist
Bizarrely they’ve sacked the whole team - Dyche, Ian Woan, Steve Stone and Billy Mercer (who was goalkeeping coach).

They love Dyche, there’s even a pub named after him near to Turf Moor. As others have said, the sacking is really bad timing - when they were relegated from the PL last time he brought them straight up. No reason to suppose that he couldn’t do the same should they get relegated again. Tragedy was that he had to sell his main striker in Chris Woods and that left them very lightweight up top. I think it’s a real shame but should Nige walk away I’d love to see Dyche manage us.

That usually happens when a manager gets sacked, the backroom staff go with him. The new guy will want his own people in.

I would, massively. Not so much Pearson going, but Dyche would have far more attractive offers. 7
Major Isewater
Dyche did a fantastic job at Burnley but all good things come to an end and I believe he had run his course in Lancashire. Will be interesting to see where he rolls up next.He will probably be hoping for a slightly easier gig than the perennial struggles of a Burnley type club who have been fighting way above there weight for sometime. Could he find his way to Everton perhaps ?

Rocking Red Cyril
Interesting and odd timing really. Surely Lampard will be given at least next season. And NP gone and Dyce in. Yes sounds nice. But he will still have the current still have the current squad. Which is not good enough and no transfer money in the summer. Would it make a difference. Mmmmmmmm not sure. Wonder if SL tempted .

One Team
Seems a bizarre decision from the outside, if they go down surely he’s the best option to get them back up give his track record? Doesn’t look like their fans are happy about it at all. Edited April 15, 2022 by One Team

If you think he would be remotely interested in taking us over I genuinely worry for your sanity. Plus he never fails to take the opportunity to say how poorly treated he was here, by both the medical team & supporters. Klopp is as likely to arrive in BS3 as him. 10
Robbored
This is a perfect example of what can happens when a club gets taken over by new owners - in Burnley’s case a bunch of Americans. They’ve saddled Burnley with debts and the risk of losing PL income is frightening them. If SL ever sold up the same could happen to us.

Correct, he’s a proven success on relatively low budgets, he will be wanted by a few much bigger clubs than us.
