He spread his passes around the pitch so well, plus his football brain was as sharp as a knife and he often had his opponent on toast. Magicdaps
What a great player. His time with us was short but he made more of an impression in that period than plenty of others who have made significantly more appearances than him over the years. Bris Red
Was a decent player for us i thought. His legs had clearly gone but he still had enough about him to be effective at this level. Good luck to him in management

SecretSam
Excellent player, so cultured on the ball. Surprised he could cope with being that far from Scotland

I wasn’t sure if it had reached you guys yet! should be announced this week and oddly Matt Taylor of Exeter and the other defender who played for us & Pompey equal favourites with Ryan Mason just behind. It would be a bit strange Matty Taylor dropping back down a division just after getting promotion

Ryan Mason would be a good replacement alongside someone older but my gut feeling is Matt Taylor who played for us and managed Walsall. He also lives locally

Apparently Garner was talking to Charlton between the play off matches with Port Vale and the deal was done over two weeks ago.
A Horse With No Name
I often wondered whether Arsene Wenger got the Arsenal job because of his name, and now Hartley Paul get the Hartlepool job. Must mean that Danny Shittu is in line for the Gas job? 3 1 3

Red-Robbo
I was sad to see him leave here. If he'd stayed a bit longer maybe he would have felt less homesick under all the Scots that came with McInnes (and maybe his presence would've spared us from relegation!) IIRC there was a photo of him in full kit waiting for a train which came out not long before he left, which now feels oddly prophetic.
The Coach
May have only been x1 season. But one of the best midfielders to play for us. Signing him was a master stroke as he was definitely PL quality.
