pillred
My summing up of Tammy Abraham tonight in two words, Bumble foot, sorry but he looked like somebody who had won a competition to represent England maybe he had an off night but if I was him I would not be booking two weeks off in Qatar in November any time soon.

Looking at the results and general standard, the Nations League/Cup whatever, is a competition too far. Players should be on holiday, not playing more football IMHO. Absolutely agree with this. Southgate would have got decent backing had he left anyone who has played 40/50 games this season out of the squad. Kane would have benefitted more from an extra 2 weeks rest than playing in pointless matches. What's the betting he breaks down October time and isn't quite fit enough in November as he is still recovering from injury.

I quite enjoyed our performance last night (Suspect I’m in the minority). I thought we moved the ball pretty well, against a good opponent, we didn’t give it away cheaply and spend too much time chasing a superior technical team around. We forget Italy are well drilled defensively and although we didn’t have many decent shots we did create lots of good situations. Italy had some good chances too, but we made them work hard. Not convinced by Ward-Prowse. Amazing set-piece taker, but I don’t think he has a good enough all round game. Reece James has gone off the boil too.

He tried an alternative in March who was deemed not up to it. Who else is there?

High energy and has a little more invention than Rice & Phillips. Would help if the coach believed in him more like he clearly does with Mount who just needs to go on holiday.

But it is so exciting that only Channel 4's extremely average coverage can be bothered to broadcast it.........it's a Dead Parrot.

We looked ok in the main, and it may have been different had Kane played the full game. Tomori looked decent, which could come in handy if Maguire continues to suffer bad form at club level. All in all though, there was a definite ‘can the season end now please’ feel about it.
