Being banned from working as a lawyer with the SRA would be one way to actually fail the EFL Owners and Directors test. Being subject to a suspension or ban or other form of disqualification by a professional body (including, by way of example and without limitation, The Law Society, Bar Council or the Institute of Chartered Accountants) is actually one of the 'Disqualifying Conditions'. Morecombe should be reporting this to the EFL no later than 14 days prior to the start of this season and the EFL then decide whether it really is a 'Disqualifying Condition'. If it is then the guy will have to do whatever he needs to in order to stop having 'Control' over the club.
