BCFCOFSWEDEN
A very important question We are coming over from Sweden to watch the Cardiff game 21 august. It starts 12.00, where can we go and take some pints before the game? COYR!
Admin phantom Posted July 15, 2022 Admin Report Share Posted July 15, 2022 Personally I would start at the 3 Lions (if nothing else for all the City memorabilia that is in there), walk down the hill to the Luckwell, then branch off to The Robins Then onto the ground to experience the fan zone 11

I should have thought a Wetherspoons would be the only possibility at that time of day, on a Sunday.

Yeah, as above Lions from 10 Then do in reverse after the game
Oh Louie louie
Some pubs down the bottom end of east street open earlier. Tell them your city from sweden, the red carpet will be rolled out.
Oh Louie louie
It would help, if you ordered cider at that hour rather than larger, in these pubs. I asked for a pint of fosters, back in the 90s, at 9am, got cat called, and accused of being a member of boyzone. 1 5
Tin Soldier
Post match, I can personally recommend the infamous “North street pub crawl”. If you make it to “Spoons”:at the top of North street sober, you are a better man than me. Always entertaining, with some good pubs on the way. The Masonic is usually a decent stop off for a few.

Not disgusted, I hasten to add, just amazed that there are pubs open at 10H00 on a Sunday morning; and I am aware that the pubs in question are 'City' pubs, opening in preparation for an Anglo/Welsh derby. Forget Church, I must make arrangements to come across soon.

Oh Louie louie
That book about some of the south bristol pubs. A lot of pubs were built near churchs, so they could go for their sunday drink after, recall reading.
Oh Louie louie
The try again pub, was ran by the vicar of st francis. He was a solid temperance man, and only sold soft drinks. Hence the name the try again!

Oh Louie louie
Can, recall steve from the packet saying the guinness book of records, made contact about his keyring collection. When they told him he would have to count them, he had second thoughts!

Oh Louie louie
Was in the tap a few years ago, and a few dogs were in there, all well behaved. A bloke turned up with a tray full of clarkes pies, and it was like a gunfight at the ok corral. Even nige, couldnt have sorted this out.
