FBC Pod: Norwich [A] reviewed: "Statement performance" sees City fans smiling despite defeat

Ian, Mark, Neil and DaveP review a game which, although City lost, saw a performance that bodes well for the rest of the season and at the very least a top half finish.

Kal Naismith was guilty of two fundamental errors in the first 20 minutes which meant City were left with a mountain to climb. They were not shocked into submission by the early setbacks and played with a purpose fully deserving of another Conway goal which reduced the deficit before the break.

City dominated the early stages of the 2nd half but totally against the run of play a poorly defended goal just past the hour put the home side two goals clear. But City came back again with a goal from super-sub Semenyo which had it not gone in would surely have seen referee Webb give City a penalty after Williams had been scythed down in the box.

Couple of other points - we should have had a pen in the first half when Hanley bundled Sykes to the ground plus Andi of the bleached hair, he's been a bit quiet of late.... must be due a goal soon.

PS for those who say we love being negative for the sake of it give this a listen to see how wrong you are and I think we've finally sorted the sound out!

Morning guys , just been catching up on the Pod. You guys get a lot of criticism some justified, some over the top. The pod is much improved from a sound basis and the views more constructive without knee jerk comments (obviously results help!!). It’s taken Pearson time to turn it around, I always believed he would and as I’ve commented before I believe one of the reasons he stayed when he probably could have walked due to illness etc was because he could see the young talent we have coming through. Let’s cut the mistakes out at the back and we’re a real contention of top six and hopefully got a big decision regarding bids for our players. Great work guys, like the other pods it takes a lot of time and commitment to produce.
