DT The Optimist
Well…I for one am really looking forward to his return, and while a ‘mistake’ is always in his game what he brings to the side more than makes up for this and my take is we have really missed his play…including wicked dead ball deliveries… However, his injury on around 6/10 was a calf injury and told by NP at the time likely out up to 10 days… Now we are around 35 days and little news..will the World Cup break give him time to be back firing all cylinders again ? Come on back Kai…we miss you
Silvio Dante
Naismiths an interesting one. He’s undoubtedly very slow, and he did definitely make a few very bad ricks playing out before his injury. However, since he got injured we’ve not looked the same coming out from the back and are far less creative. The answer may well be, as has been mooted, to play him left side of the three as opposed to central, moving Vyner into the middle and Kalas (if ever fit) to the right side.

Would be interesting to see him just in front of the back three . Where he could direct the play and if he lost the ball there would be cover. 2 2
2015
We've missed him for our attacking play and his set pieces.

I’m against the general idea, but You wouldn’t put him just in front of three centre backs - overkill from a negative POV If I was thinking of tinkering with him , play him as a screen , slightly in front of two centre backs , or play him LHS of the three Edited November 14, 2022 by Sheltons Army Typo

I'd prefer Vyner, Kallas, Atkinson/ Naismith, Pring. Scott, James/Weimann, Williams Conway, Wells, Semenyo Kal played their for Luton. I would go Naismith, Atkinson, Kalas if we’re welded to a back three and everyone’s fully fit. Or a back four of Naismith, Atkinson, Kalas, Tanner has a good feel to it (Pring would be further forward in that XI).
